Born and raised in the soulful roots of Savannah, Georgia, Andrae Murchison grew up surrounded by traditional gospel music at home and in church. After completing his formal education in 2006, Murchison became in demand as a sideman and began touring the world with world famous bands and musicians. He has served as trombonist with The Skatalites, Abdullah Ibrahim and Ekaya, and The Duke Ellington Orchestra for an entire decade.
